Beginning

Robert and Katie bought the 162 acre arable farm 9 years ago and had a vision to turn around the farm into a vineyard in Shropshire. They are both very passionate about wine after travelling much of Europe and the vineyards it is home to, particularly Italy and France. After making some good friends with other wineries,  it was time to plant and produce thier own quality wine.

Another passion is in sustainability and looking after the planet. The vineyard and wine is now certified sustainable by Wine GB.

Crafting elegance in every drop.

A family business, caring for our world is our world.

Robert and Katie

The story of Veenow began in 2020 when Katie’s mum, Joan suggested planting a vineyard due to Robert and Katie’s passion for wine. By 2021 the first field of vines was planted with Pinot Noir and Bacchus.

In 2023 the decision to expand had happened and another three varieties of vines Chardonnay, Cabernet Noir and Meunier, were planted. This took the family to 40 acres of vines and 52,000 vines planted, making it the largest vineyard in Shropshire.

Robert leads the viticulture and the management of the vineyard, ensuring the grapes are grown to the highest quality to produce the exquisite still wines. Katie is at the forefront of Veenow and manages all the marketing, sales and events at Veenow and you can find her in the Wine Bar.

Ensuring the protection of our planet for the next generation.
